These painting classes usually take about 2 hours and I need at least 30-45 minutes for set up and clean up. There's no need to be able to draw, all the drawing for the main parts are already done for the students. The paper, brushes, and paints are all supplied, and I give step by step, follow along instructions which makes it easy for everyone. Students will learn all the basic techniques to paint with watercolors. There is a limit of 22 students for my supplies, so please keep that in mind along with making sure that there will be enough table top space for everyone to have at least 2 foot square space to paint, but the limit can be tailored to the location.
The cost is $50 per student; 20% ($10) of all attending student payments goes towards the venue/location of the class. The event will be published on my website and Facebook events, and I will handle all transactions. At the end of class, the 20% of all payments from attending students will be paid to the venue/location coordinator with credit card or check.
CANCELLATIONS FOR STUDENTS
Students can cancel, but refunds will not be issued if students cancel 7 days before class. Transferring classes will be avilable for up to 2 months from original class date.
If the minimum of 5 students registered and paid for class is not met, then class will be cancelled and students will be refunded the full amount. The minimum must be met at least 48 hours before class starts.
An email will be sent to the newsletter list gathered through Western Rose Studios to notify people interested in attending classes. An event will be created on Facebook with links to purchase tickets on this website. The event will be also shared on Western Rose Studios' instagram, will tag the venue on posts, and shared on Facebook groups that allow posts for the local area of the venue.
VENUE/LOCATION EXPECTATIONS
Even though there's no contract between the venue/location of class and Western Rose Studios, there's certain expectations. The venue/location will help promote the class by any or all of the following: post flyers (digital ones will be provided upon request), post on social media (digital images will be provided), keep the time (with 45 minutes before and after) and date reserved for class, have enough space for the determined limit of students (maximum is 22 and minimum is 5) plus room for the teacher (me, Elizabeth), access to running water and drain, plus electricity.
You can view all of the current painting options for class here. New paintings are added every 3-4 weeks and some become discontinued. If you are interested in a custom painting for your class, just let Elizabeth know! Note: new fantasy book inspired painting options will be added in mid-January!
Once you've read through everything and agree with the pricing, then it's time to check out the options for paintings for class and then choosing an available date and time with the online scheduler. The first quarter schedule for 2025 will be available shortly. Thank you for your patience.
